Obama Urges Public to Help Push Payroll Tax Cuts
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama wants voters to get involved in the debate over extending the reduced payroll tax and he’s asking them to tell members of Congress to keep the cut in place.
“Let your members of Congress know where you stand,” Obama said Saturday in his weekly radio and Internet address. “Tell them not to vote to raise taxes on working Americans during the holidays. Tell them to put country before party. Put money back in the pockets of working Americans. Pass these tax cuts.”

What part of “working Americans” do you think means the rich? He’s talking about the middle class, not the rich. He wants a tax increase on those making over $ 1 million to pay for keeping the tax cuts on the middle class in place.
But everyone is missing the MAIN POINT—-
The payroll tax cuts are taking money OUT of an already failing Social Security Fund.
Democrats, put forth the option to tax $ 1M earners an additional surtax to replace the missing SS Tax Funds.
But here’s the KICKER—-
They refuse to put that Surtax IN the SS Fund!!!!! They want to put it in the General fund so they can keep increasing Welfare and Regulatory Spending?
Doesn’t is seem that the ONLY Responsible Reasonable choice would replace the loss of the Reduced Payroll Taxes into the fund that is losing the cash?
Even a Liberal should demand this of our Congress.
The Democrats voted against this by the way. They want that CASH!!!! They need to buy more votes by giving more handouts.
We need to be honest on both sides. I’ll approve the Surtax, IF and only IF that money is used for what it is intended, to build up SS Fund for future use.
Talk about Irresponsible!!!
The payroll tax is not for the wealthy, its added a scant one percent to the weekly amount a person takes home.
OWS isn’t a Democrat movement, its apolitical. In all this time I never saw any sign praising Obama, but with the Tea Party, a Republican movement, the anti-Obama signs took over revealing their political leanings.
