what does “advance” mean under the “deductions” section of a paycheck?

Question by : what does “advance” mean under the “deductions” section of a paycheck?
in my paycheck this week it says its a total of 606.64 with 69.04 dollars taken out for taxes then under Deductions it says Advance-$ 210. and the advance is subtracted from my check making the total amount 327.60 what does this mean?..by the way this is in Georgia

It means they’ve already given you $ 210 of that paycheck.

If they haven’t, then you’d better talk to your boss NOW and get this straightened out.
