Question by Tanya A.: Going online to “rate” my past attorney on a site…how does this sound?
“Fair weather attorney firm…when it rained on me they took the umbrella back.
When I spoke with the office manager before hiring the firm, he said if there was ever a time when I needed an extension on the payment to call. I called to ask if I could pay on the 31st as I missed 5 days of work with no pay. Two days my son had chicken pox and 3 days were spent at the Loma Linda NICU with my sister and her premature baby who flatlined a few times and is still there and expected to be there a while. I was ordered by the judge in my case to pay minor’s counsel $ 300 which I did and it had to be done in time for the hearing on June 10, 2011 but it left little else. I failed to call the day the payment was due because I was injured at work and went to the Emergency Room. I have documentation of all of this.
Told them this but it did not matter. I called ONE day after the payment was due and apparently that was too late because I was told by the accounting department if I did not have a payment, (which was due on the 18th) , in by 6pm on the 19th they would file to remove themselves from my case. I called back and told them they should do what they felt they needed to do and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone…not even a dog in a fight. Don’t go to them if you really need help.”
I have documentation of everything….
I have documentation of everything….
Self inflicted…I understand what you are trying to say but self inflicted is not the case. No one self inflicts their child with chicken pox. I wish things were different but don’t offer to help if there is a hard time and then not help.

Question by what it don’t: The scheduled dates are long past, so where is my stimulus payment?
I filed my 1040EZ in Jan. and received my direct deposit tax return in March. I received a letter stating that I would receive a $ 300 stimulus.
I fall into the first group for direct deposit. Now all the dates for direct deposit are past. I still fall into the first group when looking at the schedule for mailed checks. That date is six days past. No money.
The “Where’s my Stimulus Payment?” tool on irs.gov says there is no specific info available on my rebate. The site says the reason for this is that no info on an individual is available more than a week before the date a stimulus payment is scheduled to be made. Those dates should have either been May 2 or May 16.
The FAQ on the site is not helpful. The only question addressing late payments lists only one reason for a payment being late. People who filed close to or after April 15 will not be done by the schedules. I’ve even called the IRS. Nothing useful.
I know my case is very specific but is anyone in a similar situation?

Answer by SUGGARPLUMMHONNEYBUNN if you had fees taken from refund or got a loan or a loan check you are getting a check instead,so refer to the paper check schedule instead, and that info is on the irs.gov website, you may have overlooked it.

Question by : Why do cons say raising taxes would hurt the economy, except they want to raise taxes on the poor?
I see post after post of cons saying “raising taxes would hurt the economy”… then post after post of “the poor should pay taxes” which would be an increase in taxes…
isn’t this really just showing that they only care about lowering taxes on the rich and really just want to raise them on everyone else to make up for it?
and they really don’t believe that raising taxes would hurt the economy, or they wouldn’t talk about raising them on the poor (47 percent of the population, so much)?
