Question by ??????: In 225 years since we became a nation legislation only once before acted this greedy, can we do like before?
During President Grant’s term in office there was a “Salary Grab Act” to roll back the benefits and salary benefits legislators passed for themselves. Is it possible to do it again so Amercia is not paying billions annually in just benefits and retirement pay for retired legislators and presidents who are not paying FICA taxes or co-pay for benefits? In 225 years, salaries usually increased every 50 – 80 years, not annually! American tax payer salaries do not increase at a comparable rate.

Question by John Paul: Psychologist question?
Ok, so i have decided that i want to become a psychologist because i love to help people with problems, and am very open minded and love to analyze things and work thru peoples issues. The thing is, i heard it takes about 10 years to become a respectful psychologist. I am 25 though, and that means i wont be done til im 35 atleast. So my question is, What do i do about money within that time? Is 4 years enough to get my foot inside a psychologist door and start working with something and making some money? Or am i shit out of luck for a decent job til im fully done with college? If i am able to get working with something early, how much is the normal “pay rate” if i only have say 4 years of colllege education? Any info would be greatly appreciated! thanks
By the way, i still plan on finishing all 9 or 10 years of college, but is it possible to have a decent job in that field within that time to get me thru, until im done fully with college ?

Question by rivera573344: When will the Obama craze wear off?
When will people wake up and realize this man is a fraud and a liar? This is not a “man of the people” as the corporate media makes him out to be. Just a few examples:

- Promised to get troops out of Iraq in 6 months, then changed his story to 16 months, then to 23 months … you get the idea

- Made the centerpiece of his campaign that “If your family makes less than $ 250,000 a year, you will not see an increase in your taxes” and he has since gone back on this promise as well, proposing new taxes on everything from payroll, energy, home mortgage deductions, and a number of other new taxes right under the noses of the very people who voted him in

- Obama pledged he would end NAFTA and GATT, but since being elected has fought to expand both

- Obama pledged to vote to repeal the Patriot Act, yet since taking office, he has voted for it’s re-authorization

- Promised to “clean up” Washington and THEN filled it with NOTHING but lobbyists and failures, people like Robert Rubin (ran CitiGroup into the ground), Mark Patterson (top lobbyist at Goldman Sachs), William Lynn (former top lobbyist at Raytheon), Tom Daschle (top lobbyist for healthcare firms) and Timothy Geithner (former NY Federal Reserve president) among other failures and Wall Street criminals

- “Oh we’re not gonna make you take the vaccine … but you have to” He says this and yet refuses to vaccinate his own daughters. I wonder what’s in those vaccines that makes them so dangerous for his daughters but perfectly OK for the general public? … HMMMMMMMM

- Banker bailout of 2008 (Bailout for banks), CARS (Bailout for auto companies/dealerships), Obamacare (Bailout for pharmaceutical/healthcare companies) … what’s next?

Obama’s lies are obvious and out in the open, he lies in broad daylight.

Question by I’m gonna start another riot: What you think of FAIR’s Response to Sen. Charles Schumer’s Seven Point Plan Comprehensive Immigration Reform?
WASHINGTON, June 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — In advance of the White House summit on immigration, Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), chairman of Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security and Refugees, issued a seven point plan for reforming America’s immigration policies. Unfortunately, Sen. Schumer’s plan is short on details and even shorter on protections of the vital interests of the American people. It also conveniently ignores the history of immigration politics and policies since 1986.

In the hope that Congress and the Obama administration will make a serious effort at addressing America’s dysfunctional immigration policies and reforming them in a way that serves the public interest, FAIR has issued the following response to Sen. Schumer’s seven point plan.

1. Illegal immigration is wrong, and a primary goal of comprehensive immigration reform must be to dramatically curtail future illegal immigration.

Sen. Schumer is half right: illegal immigration is wrong, but it is also harmful to the interests of the vast majority of hard-working law-abiding citizens and immigrants. Millions of innocent people have been and continue to be harmed by illegal immigration. Innocent people lose jobs, wages, educational opportunities, access to needed services and benefits, and some are victimized by criminals who have come to the country illegally. All Americans are forced to subsidize illegal immigration through their tax dollars.

Curtailing future illegal immigration is not the primary goal of any meaningful immigration reform; it is a primary goal. An equally important goal of anything styled “comprehensive immigration reform” is to rectify the wrong that has been committed against the American people by employing all reasonable and prudent strategies to reduce the existing population of illegal aliens. There is no reason why curtailing future and reducing current illegal immigration cannot be pursued simultaneously. In fact, measures put in place near the end of the Bush administration were doing just that. These have since been rolled back or blocked by the Obama administration.

2. Operational control of our borders — through significant additional increases in infrastructure, technology, and border personnel — must be achieved within a year of enactment of legislation.

It has been nearly a decade since 9/11, and the threat of terror attack, international organized crime and serious international conflict remain as real as ever. If, as Sen. Schumer concedes, we do not have operational control of our borders, why should correction of this critical homeland security vulnerability have to wait? In fact, why have Congress and successive administration permitted current conditions to continue? Regaining operational control of our borders must not be contingent on anything. Congress and the president have a moral and constitutional obligation to use any and all resources to gain control of our borders and protect the security of the nation.

Best answer:

Answer by DAR
FAir is right, Schumer is wrong. The attitude of the political class that continuing and even increasing (through legalization and chain migration) forced subsidies of illegal behavior is remotely ok rang so wrong I actually became political.

They ain’t working for us, folks.

Make a LOT of noise.

Question by Guiseppe: Abortion debate and Health Care Reform, what are your thoughts?
I have been hearing about the “abortion debate” in regards to “health care reform” and some stuff struck me as odd. Apparently there is language in the House bill that prevents federal funds from funding insurance that covers abortion, unless it is a case of rape, incest, or the mother’s life is at risk.

We all know, though, that the democrats are just “compromising” for now and that if they get a larger majority in congress then they will try to change it. And who is going to be there to regulate the reasons why woman is getting an abortion? Doctors lie all the time to gets things covered for patients that wouldn’t be covered otherwise. Why would this be any different? I had a scar on my face about 5 years ago and I had a plastic surgeon “resection” it. The doctor billed it as a “suspicious lesion”, though, so it would be covered, otherwise it would have been considered cosmetic.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I am actually, pro-choice. But I don’t feel like my tax dollars should be going to help some young, unwed woman abort a child she helped to create. If the democrats would stop encouraging young people to have sex before marriage then we wouldn’t have the high rate of teen pregnancies we have.
They make it look like waiting for marriage is high crime.

Best answer:

Answer by ash
I don’ t know any dems who “encourage young people to have sex before marriage”.

What do you think? Answer below!
